The Brief

In 2011 Channel 4 asked us to build the digital home for 4Talent, its flagship programme promoting apprenticeships and careers in the media industry. The brief called for something the broadcaster had never had before: a fully mobile-responsive website, Channel 4's first.

We delivered that first site and went on to develop and support three distinct iterations of the 4Talent platform over the following five years. Alongside the platform itself we redesigned the Channel4.com Jobs website, built tools for creating localised roadshow campaigns to target recruitment regionally, and provided technical support for live events so the experience on the ground matched the brand online.

4Talent, now known as 4Skills, continues to find and nurture talent from diverse backgrounds, from week-long work experience placements at Channel 4 to the 24-week paid Content Creatives training and placement scheme in West Yorkshire and Manchester. Supporting that mission across three platform generations meant staying responsive as the programme itself evolved.

That habit of iterating and supporting a live platform for years, rather than just shipping it, is exactly how Node runs managed services today.
