As an IT Project Manager, your job revolves around orchestrating, executing, and supervising tech-oriented projects within a company's framework. Your duty includes not only outlining the project's scope, aims, and outputs that are in sync with corporate goals, but also coordinating resources, governing project finances, and ensuring the punctual completion of project milestones.
Your role is pivotal in facilitating dialogue among stakeholders, managing any challenges that crop up during the project's lifespan, and integrating risk management approaches. But that's not all – possessing expertise in project management methodologies like Agile or Waterfall and demonstrating robust leadership and organizational abilities are key to excelling in this role.
Job requirements
Education: A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in project management, particularly in IT and tech-related projects.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management), or Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master).
Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; proficiency in project management methodologies like Agile or Waterfall; and the ability to manage resources and finances effectively.
Problem-Solving: Ability to handle challenges and implement risk management strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management: Expertise in facilitating dialogue among stakeholders and understanding their needs.
